A Field Guide to the Snakes of Australia is a fully comprehensive field guide to all 241 species and subspecies of snake found in Australia; covering file snakes, pythons, colubrids, natracids, elapids, marine elapids, homalopsids and blindsnakes. With photographs from the authors and other top nature photographers, each species is illustrated, some with multiple images, showing variation among each species.
The introduction covers snakes in the environment, snake bite prevention and first aid, habitats, glossary and identification diagrams. There is an introduction to each family and genus. Tie Eipper is a wildlife consultant and photographer who works with her husband in their business Nature 4 You. With over 25 years’ experience working with snakes and other reptiles across Australia, Tie is the collection manager of Nature 4 You. She has written four books, numerous papers and articles on Australian herpetofauna. Tie’s photography has appeared in publications worldwide.

Scott Eipper is a herpetological consultant, author and wildlife photographer, who works with his wife Tie, in their business Nature 4 You. With over 30 years’ experience, Scott conducts wildlife surveys, snake management training, emergency consultancy and educational displays. He has written eight books, papers and numerous articles on Australian herpetofauna. Scott’s photography has appeared in publications worldwide.
